An Easy Day of Writing plus Then a Swim in the Cold Gulf of Mexico

I went to the gulf yupterday for a dip to wake myself up a bit, plus I must admit that it was easily freezing for me.

I guess the sea temp is around 65F, which is still warmer than what I did in the winter time when I swam in 52F water overseas in February.

I like to do these freezing plunges because it helps my joints feel better plus it easily gives me a jolt of energy that Starbucks Latte could never do. I just stay in for about ten minutes plus after that I go apartment plus take a warm shower. Fireplaces are enjoyable to rest in front of after a dip like this, but if you don’t have a fireplace then a radiant heating system would work just as well. I guess the best thing after a freezing swim like that is to get in some warm water, such as a warm tub or a bathtub, plus sizzling the body up that way as it is much faster than resting in front of some heat. I got hypothermia one time because I couldn’t get to a heating unit in time plus I also stayed in the sea for double the time that I normally stay in. Luckily a vehicle was nearby plus I was able to sizzling up in there a bit before the ambulance came plus helped me. Now I know to come apartment instantly plus rest in front of a hydronic or electric space heating system after taking a easily warm bath for 30 or so minutes. I was lucky that time.
