Got drenched, then frozen, in storm

You never know what weather you’re going to get in this section of the country.

I know people regularly guess that they have the worst weather conditions on the planet wherever they live..… But I guess that my nice friend and I really might be a contender for the prize.

Everyday it seems like a battle between the hot and chilly air fronts that regularly passed through this area. You never know if we’re going to have mornings of the endless oppressive sunshine or if it’s going to suddenly cloud up, drop the temperature, and storm for mornings. Unluckyly, our weather changes at the drop of a hat and makes it particularly difficult to predict anything. This is what happened recently when my nice friend and I were out having a sunny picnic on a hot afternoon. Suddenly, clouds rolled in, the outdoor air temperature decreased suddenly, and it began pouring. My associate and I were actually drenched by the ice chilly rain that was pounding on our heads. By the time my nice friend and I made it back to the nearest shelter my nice friend and I were soaked through and through and shivering. All afternoon my nice friend and I had been dripping with sweat through our shirts in the oppressive heat and humidity. Now, my nice friend and I found ourselves trying to hide from the icy raindrops. The only option was to run inside the public building that stood in front of us. When my nice friend and I got inside the doors my nice friend and I were harshly disappointed to find that their air conditioner was still running; Clearly, the thermostat was set to compensate for the big heat and humidity that my nice friend and I were experiencing earlier in the afternoon. Now, my nice friend and I stood there drenched and shaking in our boots as my nice friend and I tried to avoid the air conditioner. Thanks a lot, climate.
