Heading to bed and needing to have a fan or lower the thermostat

When summertime rolls around I get so excited because I feel like I have a life again.

In the winter I am cooped up inside and there’s not a lot of activity going on. Whereas when it’s summer there are concerts, and so many fun things to do especially around where I live. Of course every season brings its downfalls. When it’s summer it gets really hot. Living in the south it gets very humid and most of the time there’s no cool breeze blowing. My home was built in the early 1900s and I experience a lot of cooling issues during the summertime. There was this one year where my blower on my air conditioning unit outside stopped working. I had to call my local HVAC technician to have him come and repair it. Luckily my HVAC system was still under a year warranty so I didn’t have to pay anything. But every summer I experience it being very warm in my home. I am the type of person where at night I like the temperature to be cooler in my room. Unfortunately that does not happen when living in the south and having no central air conditioning system in my home. To lessen the effects of the heat at night while I’m trying to sleep, I will turn on my ceiling fan and my electric fan as well to circulate the air. I also like to turn on my window air conditioning unit and set it to a lower temperature with the fan blowing high as well. By doing these small cooling tasks, it helps make the summer heat bearable.
