My children have never been home alone.
I always find someone to be there for them.
They are not small children anymore but I still worry about them. As a mother I cannot help it. I want to make sure that they are taken care of. I finally decided to leave them home alone one day when I needed to go out and take care of something. I was not going to be gone too long, at least I thought. I actually ended up being gone for a few hours. While I was out they called me about an issue. They were having an issue with the air conditioning. My daughter said that when she walked by the vent she felt warm air coming out. She said the house was even starting to feel more warm. I was getting concerned because I did not know what to do and I was not there. I told her to go to the thermostat and turn the system off. I was worried that something was going to happen to the HVAC unit further. I told her to turn on the fans and open windows if she started to feel too warm. Luckily, when I got home everything was fine with the children. They seemed to be alright and I was not worried at all. I had an HVAC system problem to take care of though. I was not handy with this equipment so I called an HVAC specialist as soon as I had the chance. I knew that as soon as I left the children home alone something was going to go wrong. I was glad it wasn’t something more serious or life threatening in their case.
