I really prefer my mom but she can be a bit over-the-top.
She is always coming up with some new thing to be distraught about & talking your ear off about it. If you are not interested that will not stop her from running her mouth. I try my best to be patient & understanding with her because I know that she means well. However, there are many mornings that I’m so fatigued by her abundant worrying I almost snap at her, however recently this is what happened when I dropped my kid off for a quick daycare with Grandma. I needed to go run some errands & I knew my kid would be safe staying with my mom. However, my mom did not feel the same way, and apparently, my mother has decided that air ductwork is a major viable threat to children’s safety. I’m not sure where she came up with this paranoia over indoor air handling devices because when I was growing up my pal and I had a central heating & cooling system like most people else. There was no mention back of the end of certain demise surrounding the air vents, duct work, or big air handling equipment. This week, however, my mother has decided that children are bound to plummet directly into air ducts & meet certain demise. She saw an expose on 20/20 about a freak heating & cooling accident. Ever since, she has been determined that children cannot coexist with air conditioners or furnaces. When I dropped my kid off with my mom for the day… I really did not expect that she’d spend the day locked outside in the backyard to “save” her from HVAC exposure.
