Rain keeps coming in windows

I’ve only recently moved to a brand new neighborhood in a really unusual climate than what I was accustomed to, and I’m trying my best to adjust.

I’ve lived in the midwest for most of my life, and I have never had such a muggy climate around me, until now. It seems like every afternoon here it gets so humid that it will rain at some point, just in time for the clouds to dissipate and the pounding afternoonlight to make it 100 degrees again. I don’t know how anyone can plan their afternoon or how to labor around the constant rain. It’s been making homelife difficult, because I can’t even open our windows for fear of rain detriment, so my friend and I have to rely honestly on our Heating and Air Conditioning system for ventilation. The constant precipitation has already come into the windows a few times now, and I’m not interested in sprouting mold due around the damp window sills. Instead, I have the a/c running pretty much all afternoon, every afternoon. It’s the only way to keep the property from feeling boiling and sticky inside, however I don’t care about having constant exposure to AC. I feel as though the a/c dries out the indoor air to such an dire degree that it affects me and my pets’ health, and I would much enjoy to get some fresh air. It goes without saying that this much central cooling isn’t cheap, either. I hope that it stops raining soon, because I can’t afford to keep living under the reign of king AC.
