My husband thinks that it would interfere with the functioning of the window unit AC
The window unit air conditioner in my bedroom is very old. Not only does the window unit AC make a lot of noise and only work when it wants to, but the back of the unit is completely rusted. Living close to the ocean, this is likely to happen. Some people say that the salt water corrodes their car engines faster than normal. For me, I am not that concerned about my things as long as I am able to live by the water I am, however, concerned about my kids that run around on the back porch so close to the rusted window unit ac.I am constantly telling them to be careful and to make sure they do not run into the rusted window unit air conditioner. If the window unit ac hurts the kids, I would be so upset. The kids are pretty good about staying far away from the window unit AC. One night, I got so worried that I told my husband that we were going to have to build some kind of barrier around the outside of the window unit AC. The barrier I had in mind would be something along the lines of a fence of some sort. I think that it would be a nice touch to the back yard. My husband thinks that it would interfere with the functioning of the window unit AC. I asked my landlord if she would be willing to replace the window unit ac as a safety precaution.
