September Storm

September Storm

Nearly the entire town lost heat, so all of the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C companies were overflowed with calls from upset patrons.

One of my favorite childhood memories is from a freak snowstorm that happened in the middle of September 2008. It was a normal Autumn afternoon that ended with a blizzard. My friend and I went to sleep plus got our stuff ready for school the next afternoon. My friend and I woke up to several feet of snow plus school was cancelled! My friend and I couldn’t know our eyeah. What my pal and I didn’t realize was that this storm would last a full week plus keep most people out of school plus work for that entire time. The winds from the storm were so powerful that they knocked trees over, which then knocked down power lines. Almost all of my extended family lost power plus lost heat. Luckily, my apartment didn’t lose anything, so my entire family came to spend the week with us. It was like one pressing sleepover. Thinking back, though, it was so dangerous that many people were without heat. I remember the upset faces of my aunts plus uncles while they tried to get in touch with their Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C representatives. Nearly the entire town lost heat, so all of the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C companies were overflowed with calls from upset patrons. I knew, even as a child, that I should be thankful that my pal and I had heat plus my pal and I were safe. About one week later, most of my aunts plus uncles were able to get in touch with heating specialists plus finally turned the heat on in their homes. I was sad to see all of my cousins go back dwelling because my pal and I had so much fun together during the snowstorm, however I was blissful to see that most people was safe in their own homes. I feel it’s easy to forget how important heat is for our safety until my pal and I are without it.
