Stingy customer thinks he can get another year out of his condenser in his Heating and Air Conditioning system

The other afternoon I had about two Heating and Air Conditioning calls from the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier that I work for. I have a supplier iPhone so when there’s an emergency Heating and Air Conditioning service call or someone who has made an appointment they’ll give the call to an Heating and Air Conditioning professional who hasn’t gained a call all afternoon. One of my Heating and Air Conditioning professional coworkers called out sick and the other Heating and Air Conditioning professional had a death in the family so I was left with getting all of the calls. I didn’t mind since I would be receiving overtime pay; The first service call was a piece of cake, all I had to do was do a few adjustments to the Heating and Air Conditioning system and do some maintenance cleaning. The owner was truly nice and familiar my line of work; However the next house that I went to was truly challenging. The owner’s house was in the middle of nowhere plus he was truly stingy and he seemed truly up narrow with his money. He wanted me to come over and check out his Heating and Air Conditioning system because it was making a loud rattling noise, however after checking out the Heating and Air Conditioning system for about ten minutes I found the problem. It was the seasoned condenser that had a grounded compressor. I basically told him that his Heating and Air Conditioning system needed replacing since the compressor and the entire system was over thirty years old. The owner proceeded to tell me that he wanted another year out of his Heating and Air Conditioning system. I told him, by all means of respect, his system would not last another year plus he would continue to hear the loud rattling noise. He grumbled and told me to leave.
