I work at my town’s detective agency and over the years I have see a lot of different cases that involed murder.
Recently there was a case that came up that I was assigned to investigate.
The story was that a middle aged man was found in his home barely breathing, unfortunately by the time emergency care arrived he had already passed away. The doctors say he was very healthy and they couldn’t see why or how he died. When I entered the crime scene, the first thing I noticed was that the HVAC system had been tampered with. I took a look inside and found that the UV light air purifier had been removed and that the normal air filter was also missing. I went back to the living room where the man was found and I discovered that his portable air purifier was unplugged from the wall. One last place I checked to confirm my analysis was the air conditioner in the window of the living room. I looked inside and found that the air filter had also been removed from the air conditioner. Satisfied with my observations, I sent in my report to the office and called the doctors. After telling them I believed he had been poisoned by an airborne substance, they checked the man’s lungs for toxin damage and found a very large amount of poison in them. After doing some investigation, I found out that the criminal was a nearby neighbor who was getting revenge for a past event. Upon arresting the killer, I decided to invest in my own HVAC filter and air purifiers Just in case something like this were to be attempted on me.
