There are many different ways to purify the air in your home and to keep your family safe from dangerous pathogens and bacteria. Recently, our community had a competition to see who could have the cleanest air in their home. It was a volunteer competition and I was excited to join. I have always been a strong believer in clean air both indoors and outdoors so I already had two air purifiers and good air filters in my HVAC systems before the competition even started. When the competition began, I ordered a UV ray light air purifier, a dehumidifier, new air filters, and another portable air purifier. It took a few weeks, but when all the equipment finally came In I had my friend Scot, who is an HVAC serviceman, come and install the UV light air purifier and the new air filters. Scot told me I was bound to win the competition with all the purification systems I had in my house. A few weeks went by and the end of the competition drew near, and I was so eager to see who won that I couldn’t sleep the night before. The winner of the pure air competition would be determined by an air quality test using an indoor air quality monitor which will be brought into each home that is in the competition. On the day of the test, the monitor arrived at my house at noon to test my indoor air quality. I had had all my air purifiers running all night and I made sure the filters in my HVAC units were still nice and new. One week later the winner was posted on the newspaper and it was me! I won the air cleanliness competition and won 5000 dollars!
