In my office, there is a window unit air conditioner.
I am a fan of these types of cooling devices as they can be adjusted to cool each individual room.
I like that I can cool the one room of the apartment that I am in most of the afternoon plus not have to worry about the rest of the apartment being too warm because I am not in there most of the time. The one terrible thing about the window unit air conditioner in my office is how noisey it can be. Sometimes, clients have to ask me to turn the volume up on my PC plus that they can’t hear me. When it is really hot, sporadically I have to have the air conditioner on all afternoon. I like the idea of the air conditioner being on plus cooling the room all afternoon however sporadically, the window unit air conditioner is just too loud, for some reason, the noise is even louder on video calls plus I am never able to keep the AC on while I am on video calls. The window unit air conditioner is so loud that sporadically I get frustrated with the sound. I just want to hear nothing! I would rather hear the sound of the window unit air conditioner while working than while I am sleeping. Sometimes, it wakes me up every single hour. They are so loud! Why are the window unit air conditioners so loud? It’s just not something I can understand.
