An Easy Day of Writing plus Then a Swim in the Cold Gulf of Mexico

I went to the gulf yeahterday for a dip to wake myself up a bit, plus I must disclose that it was absolutely frosty for me.

I suppose the sea temp is around 65F, which is still warmer than what I did in the winter season when I swam in 52F water overseas in February. I like to do these frosty plunges because it helps my joints feel better plus it absolutely gives me a jolt of energy that pop could never do. I just stay in for about ten minutes plus after that I go home plus take a overheated shower. Fireplaces are great to sit in front of after a dip like this, but if you don’t have a fireplace then a radiant furnace would work just as well. I suppose the best thing after a frosty swim like that is to get in some overheated water, such as a overheated tub or a bathtub, plus moderate the body up that way as it is much faster than standing in front of some heat. I got hypothermia one time because I couldn’t get to a heating component in time plus I also stayed in the sea for double the time that I normally stay in. Luckily a car was nearby plus I was able to moderate up in there a bit before the ambulance came plus helped me. Now I know to come home instantly plus sit in front of a hydronic or electric space furnace after taking a absolutely overheated bath for 30 or so minutes. I was fortunate that time.
