Going to a service call in the middle of nowhere to do work in a trapped door room

The Heating and A/C industry is honestly interesting, and you are consistently learning about modern service and install techniques since technology in Heating and A/C systems are growing honestly rapidly, not to mention when you go to on-site Heating and A/C calls you get to experience some pretty interesting homes.

I’ve been to millionaires homes, current homes, vintage homes, you name it.

I have even been to small homes that have the weirdest doors and unexplainable rooms. This one time I went to a house to do an Heating and A/C air conditioning estimate, and when I got there the owner told me that the air conditioner coil is installed under the household inside of the air duct, so to show me where it is she moves a rug that was in her kitchen, which revealed a trap door! She opens that trap door, I was skeptical to go in as I was afraid I was going to get locked in there; But the owner crawled down in there with me which made it more awkward. As she was crouching down shining the flashlight above us to locate the air conditioner coil I told him that already it was going to be a bit expensive due to the replacement in such a small area. I basically said that just so I could get out of there! It turns out that the owner wasn’t a creep, my friend and I situated the air conditioner coil and she showed me the ancient air duct. I told him that the air duct would have to be updated as well. I was curious about the trap door so I asked him what it was for. She said that this house is registered under the state’s historical society and that it was used during the Prohibition Era.
