Got drenched, then frozen, in storm

You never know what weather you’re going to get in this part of the country. I know people constantly think that they have the worst weather conditions on the planet wherever they live.., but I think that my buddy and I entirely might be a contender for the prize. Everyday it seems like a battle between the tepid and cold air fronts that correctly passed through this area. You never know if we are going to have days of the endless oppressive daylight or if it’s going to quickly cloud up, drop the temperature, and storm for days. Unluckyly, our weather changes at the drop of a hat and makes it truly difficult to predict anything. This is what happened recently when my buddy and I were out having a sunny picnic on a sizzling day. Suddenly, clouds rolled in, the outdoor air temperature decreased quickly, and it began pouring. My pal and I were absolutely drenched by the ice cold rain that was pounding on our heads. By the time my buddy and I made it back to the nearest shelter my buddy and I were soaked through and through and shivering. All day my buddy and I had been dripping with sweat through our shirts in the oppressive heat and humidity. Now, my buddy and I found ourselves trying to hide from the icy raindrops. The only option was to run inside the public building that stood in front of us. When my buddy and I got inside the doors my buddy and I were extremely disappointed to find that their air conditioner was still running, but clearly, the thermostat was set to compensate for the large heat and humidity that my buddy and I were experiencing earlier in the day. Now, my buddy and I stood there drenched and shaking in our boots as my buddy and I tried to avoid the air conditioner. Thanks a lot, climate.
