Home automation system for two separate properties in different states

My hubby & I both were born & raised in the northeastern part of the country.

My buddy and I went to university & raised our family in the same area… As my friend and I approached retirement age, my friend and I got fatigued of the dire weather.

My buddy and I began to dread temperatures well below zero, feet of snow & blizzard conditions. Our solution was to purchase a second dwelling down south. My buddy and I now divide our time between the two residences. My buddy and I avoid the brutal chilly & snow by residing down south from November to May & avoid the severe heat & humidity of our southern dwelling by moving north for six months! While the arrangement is ideal, handling the demands of two properties can be a challenge. My buddy and I need two lawn mowers, two rakes, two garden hoses & double sets of towels, linens & cooking utensils… There is also the worry of complications occurring while the home is empty & escalating into major harm before anyone notices, then investing into a dwelling automation system for both residences has gave a good deal of peace of mind. The automation system allows us wireless access from somewhere at any time. My buddy and I have surveillance cameras that provide real time footage via our smartphones, computers or tablets. My buddy and I can change which lights come on at identifiable times, make adjustments to the temperature control & earn notifications if there is a power outage, temperature swing or moisture detected. There are smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, motion sensors & moisture sensors that protect our home. My buddy and I are alerted if someone enters the property. Along with being able to see exactly who is kneeling on our doorstep, my friend and I can even converse them & unlock the door.
