Smart thermostat still hasn’t adapted

This year has probably been the strangest won in American history.

I think everyone is getting pretty fed up with all of the drama that has been going on in our country for the past several months.

Everyday feels like something new and more terrifying than before. As such, I’m actually completely content to stay in my house and wait for the world to stop burning. That’s why I’ve been happily staying inside of my house and abusing my heating and cooling system for the past six months. I’m not going to poke my head out until somebody tells me that it’s safe to breathe in public again. I will stay in the safety and comfort of my own indoor air quality control equipment until I know that the viral pandemic is under control. Unfortunately, I’m not the only one who has had to adapt to this new way of living indoors. My smart thermostat, for starters, has been endlessly confused since the beginning of this whole epidemic. Of course, the smart thermostat was originally programmed to fall in line with my regular work schedule. When I was out of the house for 8 hours a day the heating and cooling system would turn off. When I returned home in the evening the indoor air handling devices would anticipate my arrival and adjust the indoor air temperature accordingly. Since I’ve been working from home and socially isolated, my smart thermostat has been endlessly baffled. It can’t seem to understand my brand new schedule and insistence on using HVAC all day. The last thing I need is more to worry about – and this thermostat isn’t helping matters.
