Thank god for basements; sheltering in the storm

There’s nothing worse than suddenly having a wrench thrown into your afternoon. This happens when you pretty often because I live in a fairly unpredictable environment. Working on the farm means that I have a lot of unexpected animal concerns to deal with. You never know when one of the horses is going to hurt themselves or fall ill. Suddenly, you have to call the vet plus wait around all afternoon to resolve the medical emergency before you can get a single thing done. It doesn’t help that my pal and I live in a locale with an unpredictable temperature, as well. Not only do our outdoor air uneven temperatures fluctuate wildly from moderate to chilly throughout the afternoon… But you never know when you are going to get a dramatic outburst of serious weather. This is what happened to the other afternoon when a summer time storm turned into an emergency. It had been seriously moderate plus muggy all afternoon long so my pal and I were doing our best to finish our outdoor chores so my pal and I could get back to AC. That’s when my pal and I looked up plus noticed the dark clouds rolling in. My buddy and I absolutely were encouraged to see the rain storm headed our direction because it would change the outdoor air quality plus hopefully decrease the air temperature. My buddy and I were particularly warm from working outside plus ready for A/C at that point. My buddy and I blissfully ran inside to shelter from the storm in A/C for a few minutes. However, the storm got worse plus my pal and I found ourselves hiding in the chilly basement. In that moment, I was so blissful that my pal and I had a nice chilly basement with inherently cool indoor air. I knew our a/c couldn’t be relied upon in case of emergency, but the naturally cool basement could.
